Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman holds an distinguished chair in psychology within the University of California Davis and is the Director of its Center for Public Policy Research. It is believed that she was the one responsible for initiating the modern study of eyewitnesses' memory, and the role of children in witnessing. Professor Goodman published widely and has won several grants and was awarded several international and national prizes. She has provided consulting on research and policy to numerous agencies and government departments around the globe. Additionally, she provides consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of numerous professional organizations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She was a founder member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
