A human adult or animal is one who has grown to its full potential. The term adult is employed in relation to humans to mean moral and social concepts. In contrast to "minor" as well as "non-adult", a legal-age adult refers to a person who is a an age at which they are majority. They are thought to be responsible, independent and capable.
